The Gallup Survey finds that 38% of American adults would "advise their member of Congress to vote against a health care bill this year," and only 29% would want them to vote in favor. The survey is especially remarkable for its finding that twice as many political independents (44%) are opposed as in favor (22%). The survey also finds that 36% of people think the current bills would make their own health care situation worse, while only 26% think it would make it better.
