Edward T. MacConnell, CES CBC President & CEO Certified Enrollment Specialist, Chartered Benefits Consultant Extension 11

Edward T. MacConnell was introduced to the health insurance business in a unique way. In 1988 Ed's daughter was born with an incurable liver disease. The liver transplant needed to save her life was not covered by Ed's health insurance policy. Ed became a tireless advocate for his daughter and her life, and in the process learned how to deal with health insurance companies.
Years later, while running his own cleaning business, Ed decided to change careers and capitalize on his experience with health insurance providers. He became a licensed health and life insurance broker in 1995 and began to work with individuals and companies with regard to their health insurance and other benefits. Because of Ed's experiences, he knew he would serve his clients best by becoming a broker instead of a captive agent. Ed joined his dad at the EMA Group, Inc. in 1995.
Since then Ed has consulted with hundreds of Delaware Valley companies on their health insurance and employee benefits. Ed holds the professional designations of CES, Certified Enrollment Specialist and CBC, Chartered Benefit Consultant and as an expert in Consumer Driven Healthcare he is CHHC Certified by United Healthcare.
